Welcome to Mid-South Rocket Society Mid-South Rocket Society (MSRS) is dedicated to the promotion and advancement of hobby rocketry in the Mid-South (Memphis, TN area). We encourage and support participation in rocketry at all levels – from beginners launching their first low-power model rockets to experienced rocketeers launching complex, high-power rockets. MSRS was founded in 1996 and is National Association of Rocketry (NAR) Section #550. MSRS conducts all launches in strict conformance with the applicable NAR safety rules. MSRS also conducts its launches in conformity with applicable Federal Aviation Administration rules. MSRS supports local groups who desire to conduct model rocketry launches (schools, church groups, and other civic organizations) as well as supporting the national Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC).

Our launches are open to spectators and groups. Guests may launch rockets with MSRS at three launches prior to being required to join the club. All MSRS members are required to be members-in-good standing with the National Association of Rocketry (NAR).
