Hello everyone! I have a little question about maya scripting: I’d like to write a script that creates a line formed by edges between 2 vertices. Something like this: I actually know that I can do this (and I did) with multi-cut tool.
Anyway I saw that Maya uses the polySplit command to implement it. The problem is that I can’t actually use it wihout knowing the edges that the line I want do draw will traverse but just selecting the 2 vertices! Does anyone have an idea? Hope someone can help! EDIT To be a little bit cleaner: I use OpenMaya.MItMeshEdge to iterate over all edges of the Mesh until i find the 2 vertices I am looking for.
Starting from those vertices (for what I know) I can access only their position and their linked edges. From those informations I'd like to create a direct path like in the photo that I posted. Last edited by Jiloc; at 09:57 AM.
There is no Target Special. I think you mean the Colt Officer's Model Special, which was a Colt 'E' frame target grade revolver. The E&I frame Colt revolvers all used the same grips, the only difference in fit is caused by the hand polishing of the frame possibly making a particular pair of grips not fit a particular frame perfectly. All Colt 'E&I' frame grips are interchangeable, from the Army Special of 1908 to the last Pythons of 2003. Many grips will need some small amount of fitting, and due to the hand polishing of frames, some grips may not perfectly match the back strap. The 'E' frame is basically the Colt medium frame revolver with the firing pin mounted on the hammer.
The 'I' frame is the Colt medium frame revolver with the firing pin mounted in the frame. Colt made 'E' frame revolvers up to 1969.

Any grip made for a Python will fit your Officer's Model Special. If you ordered a set from Hogue and they didn't fit, you got a set of defective grips. Contact Hogue to get a replacement or help in installing them correctly. Either I mis-read your post, or it's been changed. You have a Colt Python Target.
It was the only production Python ever made in any caliber but.357 Magnum. It's a.38 Special, and is essentially what the Python was originally conceived as: A.38 Special 'Super Target' revolver.
You have what is very probably the most accurate DA revolver ever made, especially if you use a 148 grain, lead, wad cutter Mid-Range custom target load. Since your gun is a Python, any grip made for the Python 'should' fit. Again, since Colt's are hand polished there will be slight differences in the fit along the back strap. If a grip simply won't fit, the grip is defective. Some Hogue Mono-Grips don't match up with the back strap, and Hogue recommends putting a few layers of tape on the front strap of the frame to push the grip forward so it matches up. If a Hogue grip won't fit, I'd recommend talking to someone else at Hogue.
The business about the Python grip 'Changing' is BS. As above, the Colt medium frame grip hasn't changed since 1908 other than minor differences along the back strap caused by hand polishing. Other sources of good grips for the Python: Old line company, they custom fit the grip to an outline of your hand. I have a set of Sile walnut target grips on my Python that fill the hand and give great support for target shooting. They are old, and I haven't found any current production information, but I have seen them on Gunbroker.
Here are the details from the box, and I will try to post photos: SILE Walnut Wood Grips, Regular No. 77 'O' ELABORATE If this is still too small for you, I recall reading recently about a fellow who makes custom grips for revolvers based on your hand size. I thought it was in American Handgunner, but I can't find the online article. Originally Posted By dfariswheel: Either I mis-read your post, or it's been changed. You have a Colt Python Target. Thanks very much for the links, I have a set of Hogue wood grips coming to try a larger grip again. Thanks for all of your help Gents.
