While I was a little bummed that there wasn't an even number of sticks available, getting the two I did buy at such a great price made it an easy decision to buy. I've used OWC RAM for years, as I know that it will ALWAYS work in my Macs. Sure, it can be more expensive than the junk that you find elsewhere, but knowing that it's guaranteed for life and that it's tested and guaranteed to work in my Macs makes it all worthwhile. I do all of my development in windows under VMware Fusion, running multiple VMs hosting custom application software along with Oracle server. I prefer to host the virtual machines under Mac OS, as the 'housekeeping' is so much easier - backups, email, encryption, and so on. I recently bought a 12-core processor tray for my Mac Pro just so that I could have a higher memory maximum - my old Mac Pro had 6 cores and maxed out at 48Gb. I bought the 128Gb memory upgrade and it's quite a luxury to have so much memory available to run multiple virtual machines. The 8 memory boards arrived, and I installed them onto the processor tray. No issues - they just worked. I would recommend this item to a friend!

The product is as mentioned, was installed and works like a charm (although I believe I was already confortable with 12Gb of RAM, I noticed some RAM page outs lately using Photoshop CS 6 / Capture One / Firefox). Now what happened is that the package got stolen in my mailbox and that it was difficult for either service (OWC/Macsales and the French postal service) to assume responsability for this theft.

Nevertheless, having proven my honesty in this situation, Macsales took it to them to send me another pack, at the one and only condition I accept DHL (and the customs fee, about 1/3 of the total price in the end, but still worth it). I must pay total respect to the quality of the customer service here which helped me from A to Z. And to those that order from EU for example, I strongly recommend using the trackable and person to person delivery exclusively. Too much theft in mailboxes in Paris these days!
